Srinagar, June 17: The first meeting of the Public Undertaking Committee was called in the assembly premises under the chairmanship of MLA Khanyar, Ali Mohammad Sagar.
The Meeting was attased by Majority Members of Committee (MLA’s) Ali Mohammed Dar, Baldev Raj Sharma, Mir Mohammad Fayaz, RS PATHANIA, Showkat Hussain Ganai, TanVIR SADQ & SAIFU DIN BHAT.
Secretary Vidhan Sabha Mr. MK Pandita welcomed the members and informed the chairman and members about the role of the committee and gave a detailed presentation of the current status of all the PSUs.
The meeting was attended by chief officials, including other concerned officials and Director General of accounts and Treasury and Accounts General.
The discussion focuses on important matters related to the functioning and financial inspection of public sector undertakings in Jammu and Kashmir.
The committee reviewed the ongoing initiative, financial accountability and measures to increase operational efficiency in the public sector.
