MLA Doda Mehraj Malik withdrew support to a government led by Nekan

In a significant development, Mehraj Malik, Firebrand MLA from Doda and the only MLA of the Aam Aadmi Party in Jammu and Kashmir announced to get support to the government-led government.

The Firebrand MLA took the X to the X, which was previously known as Twitter, to announce the withdrawal of support from the ruling national conference -led coalition.

“Me, Mehraj Malik, MLA from Doda, thus withdrew their support to Nekan in the government alliance. This decision has been taken in the best interest of my people of Jammu and Kashmir, whose trust and welfare will always be my top priority,” the MLA posted according to the news agency- Kashmir News Observer (No).

While the exit of Malik is not a threat to the majority of the government – the ruling coalition still has a 52 MLA support, which is above the required number.

However, the real challenge for the government is now in managing it on the floor of the house.

In his fierce speeches in the last assembly session, he accused the BJP and PDP of repeatedly ruining the state. The house lobby was attacked by BJP MLAs and PDP workers, as they commented on saffron party and late PDP founder Mufti Mohammad Sayeed – (KNO)
