A teenage boy’s body is found in a lake Birmingham,

On Thursday, local time was declared missing around 6 pm after going into water in Powell’s pool in Suton Park.

West Middlendes Police Said “broad efforts” were made by emergency services and Birmingham City Council To find the boy.

He said that he was not considering the boy’s death as suspicious and his family was being supported.

The boats were seen sweeping in a 48 -acre lake to discover the victim as emergency service personnel used to come out under water.

The lake is usually a busy area, which was often used for fishing, within a popular park, but in a cordon place around the entire pool.

Raymond Stewart, a local, who regularly fishes in the lake and was out on water on Friday morning, said Cordon had gone by the time of arrival at 4.35 am.

“This is actually a tragedy, such a young life lost,” he told that BBC.

He said that although there are indications around the lake that people do not see people to swim, they saw “people swim here all the time”.

“I was here last Wednesday and would have received 15 in the pool,” he said.

Sutton Park is a 2,400 -acre National Nature Reserve. The Birmingham City Council says it is one of the largest urban parks in Europe.

It includes Woodland, Heathland, Marshes and seven lakes, including Powell’s pool.

Another teenage boy, Fraser Arysis, died in 2001 after diving into Powell’s pool with two friends.

Midlands Air Ambulance announced in May that it had 18 accidental drowning deaths. West Midlands Region last year.

“If you find someone in water, we ask you to call for emergency services … ask the person to float in water and throw anything that you can help them.
