Minister Javed Rana directs for upgradation in Gurjar-Baikarwal Hostel

Srinagar, July 12: Tribal Affairs Minister, Javed Ahmed Rana today called for upgrading the Maurit-Bekarwal Hostel, which supports both the provisions of all modern facilities to address the existing intervals and both the academic and personal development of the students.

He underlined the government’s commitment under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to increase the status of living for tribal students and educational environment.

According to this vision to increase the quality of facilities for students, Rana directed director tribal matters to take concrete steps to improve the management of the hostels, and plan and apply to hostel facilities.

These upgrades are expected to address existing deficiencies and provide students a nutrition environment that supports their overall development.

Today, during a visit to Gujar-Bekewal Hostel in Srinagar, Rana intensively inspected the facilities and held a thorough conversation with the students. He visited the hostels at Bemina and Tulsi Bagh.

He also made a comprehensive review of the revised DPR of the buildings under construction and directed the end of PWD during this year.

During the journey, Rana evaluated the quality of the facilities provided to the prisoners carefully, assessing the infrastructure to identify areas that require improvement.

The ministerial inspection of the hostel infrastructure was widespread, in which major areas such as classrooms, mess facilities, library services and recreational places were covered.

Rana aimed to achieve the first understanding of the challenges faced by the students and the scope of improvement in the facilities provided by the students.

Rana was also associated with the students, collecting valuable response to hostel management and facilities. This conversation allowed them to understand their needs, concerns and aspirations, which would be important in the plan and implementation of improvement.
