Mindy Kaling breaks silence on ‘falling out’ rumors with BJ Novak

Mindy Kaling has addressed rumors surrounding her relationship with ex-boyfriend BJ Novak, with whom she remained close after dating on and off from 2005 to 2013.

After claims on the Deux U podcast that there was a “falling out” between the two, speculation began that social media activity, or lack thereof, was a factor worth noting.

Kaling reportedly initiated the separation in the hope that Novak would seek reconciliation, but to his surprise, he agreed that distance was necessary, according to the podcast.

In response to the claims, she commented on Instagram double self “Oh my God, I hate him so much,” he said last Friday.

The two were last seen together in public on October 11 at WeHo members club San Vincente Bungelows.

The pair gained widespread recognition for their roles as Dunder Mifflin lovers Kelly Kapoor and Ryan Howard in NBC’s mockumentary sitcom office, The show aired for nine seasons from 2005 to 2013.

Created by Greg Daniels, the critically acclaimed show is a remake of the iconic BBC Two series of the same name, co-created and starring Ricky Gervais, which premiered in 2002 It aired for two seasons from 2003 to 2003.

Novak also serves as godfather to Kaling’s six-year-old daughter, Katherine Swati Kaling, and three-year-old son, Spencer Avu Kaling, underscoring their deep bond that goes beyond their professional collaboration.
