The Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic organizing committee unveiled two official posters for the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games on Wednesday – bold graphic depictions which officials said were meant to represent “the character of the venues”.
From the beginning of the 20th century, posters for the Olympics started being put up, which became a part of Olympic history. This year’s design work is Italian Artists Olimpia Zagnoli and Carolina Altavilla.
Zagnoli’s “Olympic Vision” is a brightly colored poster for the February 6-22 Games, featuring a central figure looking through Olympic ring-like glasses against a background of white mountain cap. Altavilla’s untitled poster for the Paralympic Games (March 6-15) depicts all six Paralympic winter sports pulsating with motion and in a clash of pink, blue and chartreuse. an image of matching duomo The cathedral is in the foreground, and the athletes are crowned by three curved, comma-like symbols called “agitos”. Larger versions of the posters will be displayed alongside the official torches at Milan’s Triennial Design Museum and other sites during the Winter Games. Smaller versions sell for 35 euros (about $41).
Milan-Cortina organizers had released 10 artistic posters by five female and five male artists earlier in the summer, which were also displayed at the Triennale.
