mike johnson has denied having any knowledge about donald trumpIs reportedly seeking $230 million from Department of Justice (DOJ) for legal costs associated with the federal investigation against him.
On Tuesday (21 October) when a reporter asked him about the compensation claim, the Speaker replied that he “did not know the details about it”, adding that he had not spoken to the President about the matter.
“I know he believes he is owed that reimbursement,” he said, adding that he understood that if Mr. Trump got the money he would donate it to charity.
Mr Johnson criticized people for “attacking everything he says” [Mr Trump] Does”, calling it “absolutely absurd”.
