Dave Riding and Mia Brooks are just two of the stars nominated british team20-person snow sports team leads the way winter olympics In Milan-Cortina.

The competition will be hosted by the following cities Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Redding’s fifth and final Olympic appearance after officially announcing his retirement. Brooks, who became the youngest snowboard world champion at just 16, will make her Olympic debut.

“I’m looking forward to performing on the biggest stage in front of a Central European audience for the first time in my Olympic career and I can’t wait to get out there and get into the action,” Redding said.

The 39-year-old will also be joined in the slalom by Billy Major and Laurie Taylor.

He added: “I have never taken for granted what it means to represent my country and have the opportunity to represent Great Britain at a fifth Olympic Games, which was a dream of mine when I first competed in 2010.”

This will be the fourth Olympic Games for 2021 Snowboard Cross World Champion Charlotte Banks, competing in both individual and team events, where she teamed up with Hugh Nightingale to win the Mixed Team World Championship.

British snowsport’s greatest moment to date came at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, when Izzy Atkin won Britain’s first medal by winning bronze in the slopestyle competition, while Billy Morgan etched his name in history by becoming the first male skier to win a medal when he won bronze in the inaugural Big Air competition.

Vicky Gosling, chief executive of British Ski Sports, said: “Over the past four years our skiers and snowboarders have proven they are capable of competing with the best in the world and the teams heading to these Olympics are a true reflection of the talent, grit and will to win that make British sport so special.”

The competition will start on Friday 6th February and end on Sunday 22nd February.
