Yellow and orange alerts have been issued for J&K for next week. “For Jammu Division, an orange warning has been issued. By 16 July isolated heavy rains, thunderstorms, with thunderstorms, power, and strong winds.” A yellow alert has been issued for the division from 18 to 20 July.

A yellow alert has also been issued for the Kashmir Division for the next seven days.

Director of Meteorological Department (MET), Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed told KNO that cloud weather is generally expected, in which light rains in many places and light rains and thunderstorms in many places receive heavy rains in some places.

He said that the latest mantras of rain and thunder are expected at scattered places from 18 to 21 July.

In addition, Mate has issued an advisory that there is a possibility of intense rainfall at some places in Jammu and Kashmir, with heavy rains at different places in Jammu Division from July 14 to July 17.

It states that flash floods are expected on weaker sites along with landslides, mudslides and shooting stones.

Meanwhile, the Srinagar district administration has issued weather advice in some parts of Kashmir including Srinagar from July 14 (today) from July 17 to July 17 in view of heavy rains, thunder and forecast of strong winds.

Officials have advised residents living during this period to stay away from water bodies, especially the Jhelum River, its tributaries and residents living near the surrounding streams.

The advisor issued by the Government of District Magistrate Srinagar, the government of Jammu and Kashmir states that it is advisable to avoid traveling on pulses in weather conditions, in the face of strong winds, tourists, Shikara riders, sand extracts, and thunderstorms with boat operators.
