‘Mentor for generations of scribes’: PM Modi Condols Veteran Journalist ML Kotru Passing

New Delhi, 30 September (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed deep grief over the death of experienced journalist ML Kotru, calling it Indian journalism “irreparable loss”.

In a condolence message addressed to Kotru Krishna, the Prime Minister said that he received the news with “grief and sadness”.

PM Modi described Kotru as a “famous journalist” and “a mentor for many generations”, who retained the principles of integrity, clarity of vision and depth of thought during his magnificent career.

The Prime Minister said, “He leaves a legacy behind which will continue to inspire everyone and everyone,”

The Prime Minister expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and wished for strength and fate to endure the loss.

ML Kotru died on 26 September. He was widely honored for his contribution to Indian journalism and public discourse.

In Indian journalism, a huge person had a long and prestigious career of Kotru, which extended for several decades. He was associated with various media organizations and written extensively for publications in Kashmir.

Widely considered a patron for generations of journalists, Kotru was one of the oldest members of the Press Club of India and served as its general secretary.

His contribution to journalism was recognized at the beginning of his career when he received the prestigious Watumul Award for his developed series “The Other Side” in 1959.

Kotru, known for deep understanding and deep understanding of international affairs, served as a diplomatic reporter for many years.
