Mehbooba opposed the move to deploy ex -servicemen of J&K Govt, urged jobs for local youth

Srinagar, May 19: PDP President and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has opposed the decision to deploy 4,000 ex-servicemen of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, which to protect the major infrastructure, gave it a chance to address unemployment among the youth of the region.

In a letter addressed to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Mufti said that while the service of military giants is respected, stable guard duties do not require military expertise and can be effectively controlled by trained local youth.
