Mehboba, Sajad Lone requested human relief for Shabir Shah in Tihar

Srinagar, June 20: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehboba Mufti and Sajad Loan, head of the People’s Conference, have made emotional appeal for the office of the Central Government and Lieutenant Governor, which is to expand human support for separatist leader Shabir Ahmed Shah, who is struggling with life-limits in the allegedly Afar jails.

Shah, who has been in custody for many years, is said to be suffering from prostate cancer and has an immediate need for surgery. Sajad Lone said in an appeal on social media, “Shabir Shah Sahib is very ill, he is suffering from life-threatening diseases that require immediate medical intervention, possibly surgery.

The loan urged the office of the Lieutenant Governor to consider the custody of the house until Shah’s health is stable. Lone said, “He would like to be with his loved ones when he is a wheel for surgery. At least we can do that around his family.”

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehboba Mufti echoed similar feelings and highlighted the emotional crisis due to the court reports reported to Shah’s family to appear to Shah’s family during his treatment.

“It is deeply unfortunate that the courts have not allowed his family to stay with him during this critical time. I appeal to Home Secretary Govind Mohan ji to intervene on a humanistic basis and ensure that compassion and care are expanded. His family deserves to live in his favor,” Mehboba said.
