Pipuls Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehboba Mufti on Friday hurt the death of children, including twins Ayan and Aruba, who were killed in deadly cross-firing between India and Pakistan, saying that military action only treats symptoms and not the basic cause of the problem. He appealed to the Prime Ministers of both sides to end the conflict.
“In Poonach, we saw two twins, Ayan and Aruba, who were dying, they were playing. What is the fault of children and women trapped in this crossfire? These incidents including Pahgam (terrorist attack) brought the region on the way of havoc,” Mufti said during a press conference.
Advocating political intervention, Mufti said that military action never provides solutions or peace. He urged the leadership to end these attacks in India and Pakistan as people in Jammu and Kashmir suffer the consequences.
“Military action treats symptoms, not the root cause. It never provides a solution or peace. Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mufti said.
He said that both sides are claiming to carry out the attacks, which means that the scores have been decided equally. Mufti made a emotional appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reiterating his statement about the era of war, saying that the Prime Minister of both sides could pick up the phone and solve the ongoing struggle.
“His purpose has been served after claiming to organize a major strike (Operation Sindore).
Similarly, Pakistan is claiming that they shot our fighter jets and destroyed the Brigade Headquarters in Poonch. This means that both of them dealt with accounts equally. I appeal to Pakistan’s leadership and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who promised that the era of war has ended, and political intervention is required. Both the Prime Minister can pick up the phone and solve this struggle, ”said Mufti. (ANI)
