Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle brand named after California home

Meghan Markle, wife of Britain’s Prince Harry, is launching a new lifestyle brand that appears to be named after the couple’s beachside California home.

American Riviera Orchards’ Instagram page and website went live without prior warning Thursday, both bearing the new venture’s gold badge.

The sign features the word Montecito, the celebrity enclave where the couple has lived since 2020 near Santa Barbara — sometimes referred to as the American Riviera (American Riviera)

The social media account’s biography simply reads: “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.”

A representative for the duchess confirmed her involvement in the new venture to AFP but gave no further details.

American Riviera Orchard seems to be a kitchen and lifestyle themed brand.

Thursday’s launch was accompanied by a grainy, retro-style promotional video that showed Meghan Markle arranging flowers and baking in her kitchen.

The mailing list offers users the opportunity to sign up to be “the first to know about American Riviera Orchards products, availability and updates.”

Meghan Markle’s personal social media accounts and former lifestyle blog were both shut down before the couple tied the knot.

In recent years, the couple has embarked on various media ventures.

They have criticized the British royal family in a series of high-profile statements, including a Netflix documentary series and Harry’s blockbuster autobiography “Spare.”

The couple had an exclusive podcast deal with Spotify, but it ended after just one show last year.

Netflix has also dropped an animated series created by Meghan Markle.

But an executive at the streaming giant said in January that several of the couple’s projects, including a movie, were still “in the very early stages of development.”
