Meghan Markle makes ‘happy’ decision for Prince Harry’s London show

Meghan Markle’s big decision to avoid visiting the UK with her husband Prince Harry has saved the Duke’s schedule from becoming a “dog and pony show”, a royal commentator has claimed.

Responding to the Duchess of Sussex’s decision to miss the Invictus Games service, Lady C told GB News host Nana Akua that she was “delighted” that Meghan had the “good sense not to show up”.

Commentators went on to explain that if Meghan had gone with Harry, it would have become “a dog and pony show, where it’s all about her and Harry”.

Lady C also defended those involved in the Games, claiming: “I’m glad she’s not going, so at least the focus will be on the Invictus Games and the cause, which is, of course, a worthwhile cause for wounded veterans. “

Sharing her thoughts on the Nigeria trip, Lady C warned that the couple faced “dangerous territory” and a “semi-pseudo-state royal visit”.

He also called on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to “stay out” of future royal visits, adding: “Meghan and Harry were given a year to decide they were out – they chose to stay out And they should stay out.”
