In view of Operation Sindoor, a targeted strike mission to destroy terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), in response to the Pahgam terror attack on 22 April, the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) provided a detailed briefing to both permanent and non-revision members of the United Nations.
Briefing also included Chinese Ambassador to India, Zoo Fihong.
After the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian armed forces launched a strike on deep terrorist bases inside Pakistan and Pakistan under ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Wednesday morning. Wing commander Vyomika Singh said that a total of nine terrorist sites were targeted and destroyed successfully. He said that places were selected so that there is no loss to the citizens and their infrastructure.
“Operation Sindoor was launched by the Indian Armed Forces to give justice to the Pahalgam terrorist attacks and the victims of their families. Nine terrorist camps were targeted and successfully destroyed … To avoid damage to the infrastructure of citizens and to avoid the loss of any civil life,” Wing Commander Vioxion said.
Meanwhile, during press briefing, Colonel Sophia Qureshi presented videos of the destruction of terrorist camps, including Muridke and Jahan David Headley and Ajmal Kasab, criminals of 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Apart from Muridke, Sarjal Camp in Sialkot, Markz Ahle Hadith, Barnala and Markz Abbas, Kotli and Mehmoon Zoya Camp, Sialkot were targeted in attacks carried out by the Indian Army, Colonel Qureshi informed.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that the attack on Pahalgam was inspired by the purpose of reducing the withdrawal of normal status in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The attack in Pahalgam was marked with excessive barbarity, mostly killed with the victims with head shots and in front of their family … Family members were deliberately traumatized through the way of killing, as well as this message should be taken back.
