Lucknow, October 16 (IANS)
Addressing a state-level review meeting at the party headquarters here, Mayawati said the stupendous success of the rally organized on October 9, the death anniversary of BSP founder Kanshi Ram, is proof that the Bahujan Samaj stands firmly with the party’s mission, ideology and leadership.
He congratulated party leaders, workers and supporters for the success of the program and said it sent a strong message that BSP remains a powerful force in Uttar Pradesh politics.
Reaffirming the ideology of the party, Mayawati said that the BSP was not dependent on capitalists or industrialists, but was a movement dedicated to social change and economic liberation.
“BSP strives for the upliftment of Dalits, backward classes, tribals, Muslims and other marginalized communities,” he said. He said the party’s politics was based on honesty, dedication and service – “as clean as an open book”.
Taking a dig at the Samajwadi Party (SP) government, Mayawati accused it of showing casteist bias by renaming institutions, districts and universities which were originally named after great saints, gurus and symbols of the Bahujan Samaj.
Calling it an act of “political malice and deceit”, he alleged that many welfare schemes meant for these communities have been discontinued.
Mayawati stressed that, unlike its rivals, the BSP does not indulge in politics of coercion, bribery or discrimination and remains focused on justice and equality.
At the meeting, the party finalized an action plan under the “Bahujan Mission 2027”, which will include village-to-village outreach campaigns across the state.
Senior party leaders have been tasked to organize public meetings in their respective areas to spread awareness about the BSP’s vision for law and order, social justice and welfare.
Mayawati urged party workers to counter misinformation being spread by political opponents and strengthen unity within the Bahujan community.
“Every worker should take the party’s message to the grassroots level and expose the opposition’s misleading propaganda,” he said.
Party leaders at the meeting assured the BSP chief that his instructions would be implemented in letter and spirit and resolved to work wholeheartedly to ensure the party returns to power in 2027.
