Verstappen attended with team principals Laurent Mekis and new teammates Isaac Hajar – his fourth different team-mate in 15 months – Red Bull unveiled their retro uniforms on Thursday.
“The gloss is cool, it looks more vintage and the color is very bold and blue, I really like it,” Verstappen said. “It was special to see it in real life and I was impressed and surprised by how much it changed.
“The whole look brings back so many great memories of when I first started my business. F1 Everything is new.
“I’m excited to be driving a car that looks completely different. I’m not sure the mechanics will be happy with the time it takes to keep it clean!
“But it will look very smooth and everyone will be able to see it on the track.”
The first of three pre-season tests will be held privately in Barcelona from January 26-30. The new season begins on March 8 at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.
