Maruti Suzuki begins exports of Victoris as ‘Across’, over 450 SUVs shipped from two ports

Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced the first batch of Victoris for overseas markets. More than 450 units departed from Mundra and Pipavav ports. The company said that the SUV will be named ‘Across’ in international markets.

The company described Victoris as part of its ‘got it all’ brand positioning. Maruti Suzuki said the model integrates technology, comfort and contemporary design. The SUV has scored a five-star safety rating from both Global NCAP and India NCAP. It was also showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2025.

Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi linked exports to the company’s global strategy and said, “Maruti Suzuki’s export journey is guided by the vision of Make in India, Make for the World.”

He said that the company exported more than 3.9 lakh vehicles in 2025. Maruti Suzuki said this made it India’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth consecutive year. Takeuchi also mentioned the company’s return to Europe with the e Vitara electric vehicle.

Takeuchi further said that industry-wide passenger vehicle exports increased by 1.43 times between 2020 and 2025. He said that Maruti Suzuki’s exports increased 4.67 times during the same period. He added that Victoris would support future export versions.

Maruti Suzuki launched the Victoris in India in September 2025. The company said that the SUV has a wraparound design and connected features for young buyers. Victoris won the Indian Car of the Year 2026 award.

The model is offered in 21 variants and 10 color options, including seven monotone and three dual-tone shades. Powertrain options include Smart Hybrid Petrol with 5MT and 6AT, Strong Hybrid with e-CVT, ALLGRIP Select 6AT and S-CNG. Maruti Suzuki said it has introduced an underbody CNG tank to conserve boot space.
