Mark Calcagni, 60, was found lying on Brookwood Avenue Santa RosaJust before 6:30 a.m. Friday, about 55 miles north of San Francisco, San Francisco Chronicle Informed.
Calcagni was the longtime general manager of the Condor Club, which claims to be the first topless bar in America. This club was opened in 1964.
He was found with gunshot wounds, on Brookwood Avenue, about 350 feet from his home. He was pronounced dead at the scene, ABC 7 reported. Police have not made any arrests in the case or publicly identified any suspects.
Calcagni also once managed the Vanity San Francisco, a strip club a block away from the Condor Club. Vanity’s current general manager, Wolfgang Welch, described Calcagni as Chronicle Being “larger than life” and having a massive impact on the community.

Welch added: “He always talked about keeping the community and family as strong and close together as possible; he was always willing to ‘take off his shirt to give it to someone else.'”
As of Monday, no suspect or suspects had been identified. Santa Rosa police said Monday that authorities have not yet recovered any weapons connected to the shooting.
“Although it creates a potential threat whenever a suspect of a violent crime remains at large, we do not believe there is a threat to public safety,” the department said.
