Timothy Taylor, who was being hunted for the separate murders of his pregnant girlfriend and his ex-wife two weeks apart, was arrested yesterday (Friday, June 2) in Philadelphia.
US Marshals, who had put up a $5,000 reward for information on the fugitive, had been tipped off on Wednesday that Taylor, 35, could be hiding out in the city.
And yesterday morning they received a tip-off that Taylor could be in the area of Center City.
He was located at a bar in Chestnut Street about two hours later, wearing a hoodie, a bandana over his head and sunglasses, and was surrounded and taken into custody.
Taylor was wanted for the murder of his girlfriend Theresa Gregg, a 37-year-old mother who was found by her two young daughters stabbed to death inside her apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, on May 13.

Theresa Gregg was a police officer serving with New York City’s Department of Homeless Services.
“He (Taylor) had his ups and downs. Sometimes he’s mad, sometimes he’s happy,” a neighbor of the couple in Williamsburg said.
Another neighbor told CBS2 about his last encounter with Taylor. “He came and told me he just got engaged to her and she’s pregnant,” they said.
Two weeks after Theresa Gregg was killed, Taylor’s ex-wife, 44-year-old Tishawn Folkes-Taylor, was found dead in her home in Schenectady, in upstate New York.
Police said she died from “trauma”, according to local news reports, but the exact cause of death is unknown pending an autopsy.
Tishawn’s brother told CBS2 after they divorced in 2021, his sister got an order of protection against Taylor. “She was very outgoing, didn’t hurt nobody,” the brother added.
He revealed that the couple’s two children, aged six and 10, were home when she died.
“Our thoughts are with the children who suffered through this horrific domestic violence, and hope they find some semblance of peace and closure in Taylor’s arrest,” US Marshal Eric Gartner said.
The Department of Homeless Services said of Theresa: “This is an absolutely heart-breaking tragedy, and our deepest condolences go out to Officer Theresa Gregg’s family, friends, colleagues, and close ones.This is a tremendous loss for the agency and our city.”
“Theresa Gregg was an amazing, vibrant woman who was full of life,” said Stephanie McGraw, of W.A.R.M. Domestic Violence Rescue.
