Man killed his live-in partner with a hammer, poisoned his son and then committed suicide

Police have registered a murder case against late Raut.

Nagpur:

A 30-year-old man in Maharashtra’s Nagpur city allegedly killed his live-in partner and three-year-old son in a hotel room on Saturday night before committing suicide, police said.

The staff found the bodies of Sachin Vinodkumar Raut, Naznin (29) and their son Yug in a room at Golden Key Hotel near Gajanan Colony in MIDC area and informed the police.

A police officer said: “Raut was found hanging from a ceiling fan, while his live-in partner Naznin had a head injury. There was a hammer with blood stains nearby. No injuries were found on Yug’s body.”

A preliminary investigation revealed that Lauter fatally struck Naznin with a hammer and then poisoned or strangled Naznin. He then hanged himself, the official added.

Lauter is a truck driver, married with two children. He said he had an extramarital affair with Nazneen, who hails from Madhya Pradesh.

Lauter never divorced his wife and began living with Naznin.

“Later he started avoiding Nazneen. This led to frequent quarrels between them. Finally, they decided to live separately. On Friday, the two signed a mutual agreement on a stamp paper worth Rs 500, stating that they will be housed separately. The stamp paper has been confiscated by the police “for investigation,” the official said.

Raut, Nazneen and the boy checked into the hotel in the afternoon, he said, adding that further investigations were underway.
