In an important action against corruption, the police in Kupwara arrested a person for an attempt to bribe the station house officer (SHO) of the police station Lalpora in exchange for the illegal release of a JCB vehicle seized.
The said JCB was first stopped during regular patrolling and field domination exercises. On inspection, it was found to be operated without valid documents, and the driver was discovered without a license. As a result, the vehicle was taken into custody according to the law and taken into custody.
Subsequently, a Talib co -worker of Abdul Rashid co -worker contacted the office of Shu PS Lalpora, a resident of Lolab and offered illegal satisfaction in an attempt to secure the release of the above vehicle. The accused was immediately arrested on the spot and a case video FIR No. 33/2025 was registered under Section 8 of the Prevention of Corruption Act at Police Station Lalpora. Further investigation of the case is going on.
