Mamta Banerjee asked Abhishek Banerjee’s name to represent AITC in the All-Party delegation

The All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) has announced that its president, Mamta Banerjee, has nominated National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee for representing the party in an all-party delegation for India’s global outreach against terrorism.

In a post on X, AITC stated that Abhishek Banerjee’s inclusion in the delegation underlines the party’s firm stance against terrorism.

“We are happy to share that our president, Mrs. Bengal firm stands against terror, but also strengthens India’s collective voice on the global stage,” X posts.

The multi-party delegation, which includes seven groups under the leadership of an MP each, has been initiated to combat global misinformation and highlight India’s zero-assessment policy on terrorism.

The list includes members of the Parliament of multi-party groups, divided into seven groups consisting of 8–9 members. A leader is assigned to each group that will lead the delegation globally.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju posted the list on Saturday, also highlighted how members of Parliament have shown the united stance of “One Mission. A message. Ek Bharat”.

“A mission. A message. One India. One Bharat. Seven all-party delegations will soon attach major nations under Operation Sindoor, reflect our collective resolutions against terrorism. Here is a list of MPs and delegations representing this united front,” Rijiju said on X.

Group 1 will visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Algeria under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party MP Bajayant Panda. Three more BJP MPs -Hishtikant Dubey, Fangan Konyak, Rekha Sharma are part of the group. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owasi, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, enrolled Rajya Sabha member Satnam Singh Sandhu and former Foreign Secretary Harsh Shriingla will be part of the Group.

Group 2, the United Kingdom, led by BJP’s Ravi Shankar Prasad will go to some European countries including France, Germany, Italy, Denmark and others. BJP’s Daggubati Purandeshwari and Samik Bhattacharya, Shiv Sena (UBT) with Priyanka Chaturvedi, nominee Rajya Sabha member Ghulam Ali Khatana, Congress’ Amar Singh, Foreign Minister MJ Akubar will be part of the group.

Group 3 is headed as Sanjay Kumar Jha, National Executive Chairman of Janata Dal (United). The nine member groups will visit Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea Republic, Japan and Singapore. BJP’s Aparajita Sarani, Brij Lal, State Barua, Hemung Joshi, as well as John Britis of Trinamool Congress, John Britis of CPI (M), former Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid and Mohan Kumar group are part of the group.

Group 4 will be led by Shiv Sena MP Srikanth Eknath Shinde, who will visit the United Arab Emirates, Liberia, Congo and Sierra Leone. BJP’s Bansuri Swaraj, Atul Garg, Manan Kumar Mishra, along with opposition members including Indian Union Muslim League MP Mohammad Bashir, BJD’s Sammit Patra, and Sujan Chinoy will be part of the group.

Group 5 is led by Congress’ Shashi Tharoor, with them slated to the United States, Panama, Guyana, Brazil and Columbia. BJP’s Shashank Mani Tripathi, Bhubaneswar Kalita, and Tejasavi Surya, LJP (Ram Vilas) with Shamhavi Chaudhary, GM of TDP GM Harish Balayogi, Shiv Sena’s Milind Deora, Sarfaraj Ahmed of Jammam, who will meet with the past.

Group 6, Spain, Greece, Slovenia, Latvia and Russia, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, are going to another group of European countries. Samajwadi Party’s Rajiv Rai, Mian Altaf Ahmed of the National Conference, Brijesh Chauka of BJP, Prem Chand Gupta of RJD, Ashok Kumar Mittal of AAP will be accompanied by Manijeev S Puri and Jabde Ashraf.

Group 7, NCP (SCP) will represent India’s stand in Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia and South Africa under the leadership of MP Supriya Sule. BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Anurag Singh Thakur, V.
