Malayalam film Premalu rakes in Rs 12 crore at box office, makers release successful trailer

Director Girish AD’s Malayalam film “Premalu” has crossed the Rs 12-crore mark at the box office after receiving positive reviews from the audience. The film stars Nasren K. Ghafoor and Mamitha Baiju. The music of the film is composed by Vishnu Vijay. The film is jointly produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran under the banner of Bhavana Studios.

The movie Premaru centers on the love story of Nasren and Mameesha. The actors’ performances were appreciated by critics and audiences. The film opens in theaters worldwide on February 9. To mark the huge success of the film, the makers released a video citing the success of ‘Premalu’.

Premalu, which was made with a budget of Rs 3 crore, became an overnight sensation due to its novel romantic style and unique storyline. The romantic comedy genre film is expected to give stiff competition to Rahul Sadhavsan’s Mammootty horror film Brahma Yugam. On the eve of Valentine’s Day, the movie’s attendance rate was as high as 49%, making it a must-see movie for couples. The makers have now released a trailer to celebrate the success of the film.

In the video, a romantic love story is told. The protagonist Sachin (played by Nelson) fell in love with a girl named Renu (played by Mameesha) during his studies. The video then explores the ups and downs of their relationship. The makers in the video claim that the film has been successfully released in theaters. Nasren and Mameesha’s on-screen chemistry adds a lot to the charm of the film.

On February 16, the film collected Rs 1.4 crore at the box office. The current box office has reached 126 million rupees. According to data from the Sacnilk website, the film’s night screening attendance rate was 58.26%.
