‘Make in India’ benefits in Varanasi

Varanasi, 30 September (IANS) Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Vocal for Local’ campaigns, Gaurav Kumar Srivastava, a resident of Varanasi, has launched an apps related to an employment through his company Uday Bharat. This initiative is already providing jobs to 400 people locally.

The company recently organized a job fair in the city, which saw a big vote of young job seekers and women. Under this initiative, employees are being paid salaries ranging from Rs 15,000 to Rs 1,00,000. This app will offer various distribution services at homes, offices and other places in Varanasi.

Uday Bharat’s co-founder Gaurav Kumar Srivastava said that he had earlier worked with a foreign (Turkish) company, where he had appointed around 300 people. However, the company suddenly closed all its employees. After this shock, Gaurav decided to start his company and create employment opportunities for local residents.

“I am a resident of Varanasi, so I decided to start this initiative here. After successfully appointing 400 people in Varanasi, I am planning to expand the app in Gujarat, Mumbai and Delhi,” Gaurav told Ins.

Those who got employment through the app expressed gratitude and shared their experiences with IANS.

Newly planned software developer, Krishna Kumar Maurya said, “I got this job through the app. This is a great initiative under the ‘Make in India’ campaign. I am happy that I do not have to go out of Varanasi for work. Everything is well organized here.”

Another beneficiary Khushboo shared, “I got a job opportunity through this app. I was asked to fill a form, then called for an interview. I was selected and I was offered a job. It is a big opportunity for people in search of employment at the local level.”
