A popular supermarket chain in America have remembered One of its yogurts is caused by an undeclared allergen. a major health risk,

Plant-Based Innovation I am missing you Strawberry-flavored Higher Harvest by HEB dairy-free coconut yogurt, according to a company announcement shared Friday by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

It was found that the yogurt may contain almonds, which may pose a risk to people with allergies or sensitivities, the FDA reported.

The recall was initiated after a customer complaint revealed that “the yogurt containing almonds was distributed in packaging that did not declare the presence of almonds.”

The recalled yogurt was distributed in HEB grocery stores on November 24, 2025, and shipped to HEB distribution centers and retail grocery stores in Texas. The affected yogurts were sold by HEB in 5.3-ounce plastic cups with foil lids. They have a best by date of January 2, 2026 printed on the bottom of the cup.

Although no illnesses or injuries have been reported to date, consumers with almond allergies are urged not to eat the yogurt. Consumers may also return the recalled yogurt to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Almonds, part of the tree nut family, are one of the nine leading allergens in the US. Others include soybeans, wheat, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, milk, peanuts and sesame. Allergic reactions to these foods vary, but can include “anything from hives and swelling of the lips to serious, life-threatening symptoms, often called anaphylaxis, which can include fatal respiratory problems and shock,” according to FDA.

Many popular foods and snacks have been recalled in the US in recent months due to allergy risks. Earlier this month, Georgia-based Suzanna’s Kitchen announced a nationwide recall of approximately 62,550 pounds of fully cooked, bone-in breaded chicken products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The product contains soy, a known allergen, which is not present on the label.

In November, Silvestri Sweets Inc. Recalled two different varieties of its Chausseur-branded Holiday Barks – Cookie Butter flavor and Pecan, Cranberry and Cinnamon flavors – both sold at Aldi.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the packaging was adulterated, as Cookie Butter Holiday Bark was placed in Pecan, Cranberry and Cinnamon packaging and vice versa. Due to a packaging error, Cookie Butter barks may contain undeclared pecans, and other barks may contain undeclared wheat, which can pose serious health risks to consumers.
