this The role of healthcare support staff became the most popular job title last month, a new report shows.
Job vacancies continued to fall in December, marking the sixth consecutive month of decline and pushing competition for jobs to the highest level in more than four years, data from employment website Adzuna showed.
As well as healthcare support, other popular jobs include warehouse workers, cleaners, truck and delivery drivers and social care workers.
Executive and manager positions also feature prominently in the top 10 most searched positions, according to the same report.

High inflation, economic uncertainty and increased use of artificial intelligence are said to impact hiring activity.
Employers are reportedly cutting back on remote positions and asking for more office staff as hiring slows, with the number of remote positions being hired at the lowest level since March 2020.
Adzuna co-founder Andrew Hunter said: “December’s data confirms what is clear about the employment direction for the full year of 2025 – last year was the toughest year for job seekers since the pandemic.”
