Shillong:
A massive fire broke out in the Shillong Bar Association building located behind the East Khasi Hills late Saturday night.
The incident occurred around 10:15 pm and officials are yet to confirm the cause of the fire.
Many fire fighter vehicles are present at the spot and are continuously engaged in extinguishing the fire.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma visited the site of the incident and took stock of the situation.
He described this incident as ‘unfortunate’.
“We have come here to find out the exact cause of the fire, but it seems that the fire occurred here due to electrical condition. It is very unfortunate. All the officials from the concerned departments are here. We are very relieved.” That no harm has been done.” Life.
