Mumbai, September 17 (IANS) Dr. Narendra Jadhav, the chairman of the committee, formed to determine the policy of three languages, said on Wednesday that the committee will try to prepare the best report keeping in mind the public opinion in the interest of 2.12 crore students in 1.08 lakh schools in Maharashtra.
“Maharashtra is a leading state in the country. Other states follow Maharashtra. Therefore, about the implementation of three language policy, the committee will take public opinion and make its recommendations in the interest of students,” he announced the first meeting of the committee set up by the State Government to formulate a triangular policy with the National Education Policy 2020.
Jadhav said that in the next 15 days a website will be created for a triple policy and a link will be made in it, on which all ordinary citizens, parents, students and others can express their views.
After being appointed as the chairman of the committee, information related to the triple policy was collected and it has been made available to the members during the Wednesday meeting and it will be discussed in the next meeting.
Two types of questionnaire will be prepared in the next few days, one questionnaire will be for all and the other for various Marathi language related institutions. Jadhav said that he will meet various political leaders who have expressed their views on the subject in the next 15 days and understand their attitude.

Earlier, the government on September 5 issued a government proposal on the formation of a committee headed by Narendra Jadhav, a member of the former Planning Commission to determine the triple policy in schools in the state as per the National Education Policy 2020.
