Manoj Jalanji.
Manoj Jarange continues to agitate for Maratha reservation in Maharashtra. He also announced his participation in the parliamentary elections. However, he recently announced that he would not participate in the election. Now he says he will clarify his stance on the Maharashtra Assembly elections on November 10. Talking to a Marathi news channel, Jalanji targeted Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Accusing him of being unfair to the Maratha community.
Reiterating the demand for reservation for the Marathas, Manoj Jalanji said the community will teach them a lesson and defeat those who are doing injustice to them. We have decided not to participate in the elections but will make our position clear on November 10 so that there will be no doubts.
The community will have 10 days after we make a decision
Jarange said that after his decision on November 10, the association was 10 days away from the election. We’ll get bookings. Until we get bookings, our focus will remain on that. After getting the rights (reserved) we will decide the politics. If people are treated unfairly, then they will turn against you (the government).
We had to suffer injustice because of Fadnavis
He said our community had to suffer injustice because of Devendra Fadnavis. When the Maratha community left us and was reserved for other communities, they had to suffer further humiliation. As a result, our communities are filled with anger. Let us tell you that the marathon movement, led by Manoj Jarange, has received tremendous support over the past year.

Political analysts believe that despite Jalanji’s decision not to field a candidate in the elections, the BJP’s uneasiness over Jalna has not diminished. The BJP won three major constituencies in the region in the 2019 elections: Paltur, Bokadan and Badnapur. The party is struggling to keep its winning record intact. However, the political and social situation there has changed.
