Mumbai, October 7 (IANS) Maharashtra government on Tuesday announced a financial package of Rs 31,628 crore to help heavy rains and flood affected farmers in various districts of the state.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who was with him with Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, said heavy rains caused widespread damage to agriculture, farmers’ homes and crops.
“Land was also erased in many places. Therefore, the next Rabi crops cannot be grown at those places. However, farmers should again stand on their feet. He further said that the government proposes to distribute assistance before the upcoming Diwali festival.
“We are providing all kinds of assistance. Whether it is aid for the erased land, damage to crops, or financial assistance for dead and injured. We are also providing immediate assistance of Rs 10,000 to people affected by natural disaster. The hilly region.
The Chief Minister said that the government has relaxed 65 mm of rainfall to provide assistance. In places where 100 percent of the houses have been destroyed, money will be given completely for a new house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The government will provide assistance up to Rs 50,000, Rs 37,500 per million animal. The range of three animals in NDRF has been removed. The government will provide Rs 32,000 per animal and Rs 100 per chicken for draft animals.
In addition, CM Fadnavis said that the government will provide Rs 47,000 per hectare for the land earned in cash and Rs 3 lakh per hectare through NREGA.
As a special remedy, Rs 30,000 per well will be given. The government has made a provision of Rs 10,000 crore as compensation for infrastructure damage.
