Madras HC inquiry confirms allegations of misconduct against Kanchipuram District Judge

Chennai, 23 September (IANS) Madras High Court has confirmed allegations of misconduct against Principal District and Sessions Judge Pau of Kanchipuram. Kemmal, who ordered judicial custody of the Superintendent of Police (DSP) on a personal dispute with his former individual security officer (PSO) earlier this month.

Justice n. After investigating an inquiry report by Registrar (Vigilance) Jasinth Martin, Satish Kumar directed the High Court to put before the Vigilance Committee, including senior judges, including disciplinary proceedings.

He also directed that the report was sent to the transfer committee for immediate action, given that it was “not favorable” to allow the judge to continue in Kanchipuram.

This order came on a petition filed by the Kanchipuram Superintendent of Police, which challenged the District Judge’s decision on 8 September to send the DSP to custody.

On 9 September, Justice Sasht Kumar rapidly separated the order and ordered a vigilance inquiry into the allegations.

According to Additional Public Prosecutor KMD Muhilan, former Superintendent of Police, DSP, and former PSO of Judge. Lokeshwaran made statements to the Registrar (Vigilance).

The investigation found that the judge had pressurized the police that he was suspected of spreading false information about Lokeswaran and his father -in -law, a bakery owner, to spread false information about them. The DSP was ordered to be sent to custody, allegedly not arresting the former colleague.

The investigation also revealed the latest details, in which a food security officer was detected to raid the bakery with the alleged pressure of the judge. The FSO appeared before the Vigilance Authority and confirmed it.

In addition, the report mentions other examples of misconduct, such as tremendous action against a local pharmacy that refused to sell drugs without a valid prescription.

After reviewing the findings, Justice Satish Kumar said that the report confirms allegations of misuse of judicial power. He ordered that appropriate disciplinary measures be considered as soon as possible.
