Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh:

A college youth has lodged a complaint with the Gwalior district police in Madhya Pradesh over transactions of Rs 46 crore that took place in his bank account, a police official said on Friday.

The young man’s name is Pramod Kumar Dandotiya (about 25 years old), a resident of Gwalior. He came to know about the matter after receiving a notification from the Income Tax and Goods and Services Tax Department that a company had been registered through his PAN card and the application was pending. Operating in Mumbai and Delhi in 2021.

Mr. Dandotiya said, “I am a college student from Gwalior. After receiving the income tax and GST notification, I came to know that a company has been registered through my PAN card which is operating in Mumbai and Delhi 2021. I Not sure how my PAN card was misused and how the transaction was carried out.”

He further said that when he got the information from the Income Tax Department, he immediately spoke to the authorities concerned. After that, he tried to report the incident to the police several times, but the police took no action. On Friday, he again reached the office of the additional superintendent of police and lodged another complaint.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shiyaz KM told ANI: “Today, we received an application from a young man stating that the transaction amount in his bank account was over Rs 46 crore. The relevant documents are being checked.” PAN card misused, A company was registered through this card and such huge transactions were made. “
