Madhav Sheth reveals upcoming Magic 6 series launch in India

Honor has expanded its Magic 6 series, launching the new Porsche Design Magic 6 RSR and Magic 6 Ultimate in China earlier this week. Now, the former Huawei subsidiary appears to be preparing to bring these new models to the Indian market. HTech CEO Madhav Sheth asked followers on X about their preference for Honor’s new products launched in India and suggested the Honor Magic 6 Ultimate Edition or the Porsche Design Magic 6 RSR. Both phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and feature a 5,600mAh battery that supports 66W wireless charging.

Madhav Sheth revealed on Tuesday (March 19) that the new Magic series phones will soon be launched in India. He posted images of the Honor Magic 6 Ultimate and the Porsche Design Magic 6 RSR, asking people about their preferred smartphones that they would like to see launched in India. “Which innovation would you most like to see launched in India?” he asked, hinting that the company is looking to bring one or both of these phones to China.

Honor launched the Porsche Design Magic 6 RSR and Magic 6 Ultimate in China earlier this week, with designs inspired by Porsche sports cars. The former is priced at CNY 9,999 (approximately Rs. 1,15,200) for the 24GB RAM + 1TB storage variant, while the initial price of the latter is CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs. 80,600) for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant.

The Honor Porsche Design Magic 6 RSR and Magic 6 Ultimate run the MagicOS 8.0 interface based on Android 14 and feature a 6.80-inch Full HD+ (1,280×2,800 pixels) LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. They run on 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. They feature a triple rear camera unit consisting of a 180-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with support for optical image stabilization (OIS) and 100x digital zoom.

On the front, the Honor Porsche Design Magic 6 RSR and Magic 6 Ultimate feature a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 3D depth sensor. They feature a 5,600mAh battery that supports 66W wireless charging and 80W wired charging.
