Paris:
French President Emmanuel Macron called for “strong action” on Sunday if Russia “continued to refuse peace”, a Russian ballistic missile killed nine children in a hometown of Ukrainian leader Volodimier Zelanski.
Despite the US and European efforts to secure peace in Ukraine, Russia “continued to kill children and citizens”, Macron said.
“My views are with the children and all civilians of bloody attacks by Russia, including Macron on the X in French and Ukrainians, including the Kryvy Rig on 4 April.”
“A ceasefire requires a ceasefire as soon as possible. And strong action if Russia keeps trying to buy time and deny peace.”
On Friday, 20 people, including nine children, were killed in a missile attack on Central Ukrainian city of Cryvi Rig. The youngest victim was a three -year -old boy. The missile hit a residential area near the children’s playground.
Macron said that even though Ukraine accepted US President Donald Trump’s complete ceasefire proposal and the European countries were also working to secure peace, “Russia continues a fresh war, which has no relation for citizens.”
Zelansky said on Sunday that Moscow Russia had increased its air bombing after a “mass” missile and drone attack on Ukraine overnight, killing two people.
“The pressure on Russia is still inadequate,” he said.
