Luke Littler’s hot streak continues after teen sensation takes Players Championship 32 at world no. Grand Prix He won on Sunday.
Littler defeated Denny Old Coulter 8–2 in the final. WiganMade his 10th 180 of the tournament and raised his average to 110.73 in the process.
It was the 18-year-old’s first Players Championship title of the season and the victory secured her place in the Players Championship Final in Minehead the following month.
Littler has also won the World Championships, UK Open and World Matchplay this year and when asked if he felt invincible, he replied: “I definitely do.
“The beginning of the day is never the best, you just have to get through those initial steps.
“Then when it comes to the last 16 and quarters, that’s when it gets nuanced. I’m very happy with today (Wednesday).
“I’m very tired but happy to win. I played Grand Prix and then Youth, yesterday and today.
“Minehead was always in the back of my mind. Some people on my social media said I wouldn’t make it, but I won it today.
“I’ve been playing 10 or 11 days straight, so I’ll have a nice break this weekend and then I’ll be back for the Europeans.”
