Manchester United fan Luke Littler Plan to become a “Golden Bull” next week Saudi Arabia Masters.

Little, whose hero growing up was Jazz David BeckhamIf he can complete the nine-dart and then hit the bull’s-eye, he will have the chance to join other competitors in winning $200,000 (£149,000).

It’s the biggest prize for a nine-dart finish in the sport’s history, it’s the first time darts have visited Saudi Arabia and Littler is licking his lips.

“I’d love to do it. Obviously it’s an opportunity for all of our players. But I’d love to be the first one to do it,” he said.

“I mean, obviously, (the Bulls) are a 50/50 shot. I think if I make it, I’ll definitely take it, but if I do miss, that’s it. But we’ll be good to go next week.

“I’ve been practicing new darts and one night I hit a nine-dart in 20, 25 minutes. But yeah, hopefully they will work in Saudi and even hit a nine-dart.”

The opportunity to make more money will add another dimension to an already different experience. Riyadh.

While alcohol is a big part of the sport in other parts of the world, the tournament will be a no-alcohol zone due to Saudi Arabian law.

Littler, who lost in the Bahrain Masters quarter-finals on Friday, is looking forward to new experiences and hopes darts can become a force in the country like other sports.

“It’s going to be really fun,” he said. “This is an opportunity for us players to visit different countries and experience it all.

“Obviously Riyadh is huge for boxing and hopefully we can go there and make darts bigger.”

In Saudi Arabia, Littler hopes another former United hero will come to watch.

With Al Nasr not due to play in a Saudi Pro League game until Wednesday night, Littler would be happy to see Cristiano Ronaldo feature.

“It’s going to be huge. Hopefully he’s not busy and he can come and see us,” he said.
