Reigning world champion Littler stormed into the Mattioli Arena and took the opening set 3-1 with an average of 98.95, after De Decker struggled to get up and running in the doubles start.

“It wasn’t that good a game. Mike certainly didn’t play his best, but I had to jump on it and take the lead early on,” Littler said on Sky Sports.
“This (tournament) is definitely brutal. We’ve had some big upsets this year, but Mike wasn’t at his best out there and I just had to make it work.”
