Do you know that comedian-actor Vir Das and writer-producer Kavi Shastri first met in 2009 on the sets of the film Love Aaj Kal, Don’t just take our word for it; Check out Vir Das’s recent Instagram post. In a series of pictures, both Veer and Kavi can be seen sitting and drinking coffee. Captioning the post, Vir Das announced their joint directorial debut, writing, “Two people met as background players Love Aaj Kal. Now they are directing a film together. These are the ones who are on Reiki, where the rule is that only one person is allowed to sip. She also used the hashtag “Coming Soon” and tagged Kavi Shastri in her post.
It would not be wrong to say that Veer Das is performing brilliantly professionally. Last year, at the 51st International Emmy Awards, Vir Das made India proud by winning the award for his Netflix special For Das: Landing In the comedy category.
