loose Women star charlene white has announced the passing of his father, who took his own life after “living with a dark cloud” over his head that he “couldn’t lift”.
White’s father, Denniston, died after “living with a dark cloud” over his head that he “could not lift”.
White, 45, and her family said they decided to speak openly about their loss because “hiding emotions and the true depth of our emotions — hurt, pain, shock, sadness, etc. — doesn’t help anyone.”
In an Instagram post, which included a photo of Denniston smiling on the beach, White said: “Two weeks ago our lives changed forever. Little did we know, our father was living with a dark cloud he couldn’t lift.
“So he decided to capture that cloud and take his own life.”
He added: “This kind of grief is new and unexpected and we are still finding our way.
“Hug your parents, and always tell them you love them. Because it’s our job as children, to love them, no matter where the path ultimately takes them.
“Even if they take the most difficult and unfathomable path.
“But we have each other, and I don’t know how we would be able to see a piece of brightness and light every day without relying on each other.
“And the millions of extended family members, and groups of friends who have held our hearts and our hands over the past two weeks.”

White said the family had celebrated Jamaica Nine Night, a traditional funeral ceremony held on the ninth night after someone’s death.
“The ancestors were right – this was the perfect way to process our grief through food, dancing, drinks… and joy with hundreds of friends and family. It was all organized by our group of friends and family. We are incredibly blessed”, said White.
