MG ZS EV – 461 km
The MG ZS EV received a mid-life makeover last year which put it in line with its ICE sibling – Astor. The changes over the pre-facelift model include cosmetic updates, new features, as well as a larger battery pack with more range.
The MG ZS EV facelift gets a 50.3 kWh battery pack that provides the SUV a claimed range of 461 km on a single full charge. The electric motor produces 177 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque, and MG claims that it can sprint from 0 – 100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds. The ZS EV facelift also gets ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) tech like Rear Drive Assist, Blind Spot detection system, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Change Assist.
Hyundai Kona Electric – 452 km
The Hyundai Kona Electric was launched back in 2019 as India’s first electric SUV, and is currently priced from Rs 23.84 lakh to Rs 24.03 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s single electric motor produces 136 PS of power and 395 Nm of torque.

The Hyundai Kona Electric gets a 39.2 kWh battery pack which provides a claimed range of 452 km. It can be charged from 0 to 100% in approx 6 hours and 10 mins through an AC charger, while a 50 kW DC fast charger will charge it from 0 to 80% in 57 minutes.
Tata Nexon EV – 437 km
The Tata Nexon EV is currently the best-selling electric car in India. With prices starting from Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata offers the Nexon EV in India in two versions – Prime and Max. The former is equipped with a 30.2 kWh battery pack which returns an ARAI-certified range of 312 km, while the latter gets a larger 40.5 kWh unit for a claimed range of 437 km.

The Tata Nexon EV Max’s electric motor produces 143 PS of max power and 250 Nm of peak torque, helping it dash from 0 to 100 kmph in 9 seconds flat. The Tata Nexon EV Prime, on the other hand, gets a 129 PS/245 Nm electric motor.
Tata Tigor EV – 315 km
The Tigor EV is currently available with a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that returns a claimed range of 315 km on a single full charge. Its electric motor puts out 75 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque, helping it sprint from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds.

The Tigor EV’s battery can be charged from 0% to 80% in 59 minutes with the help of a DC fast charger, while a standard 15A charger will charge the battery from 10% to 100% in 9.4 hours. The Tigor EV is currently priced from Rs 12.49 lakh, going up to Rs 13.75 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).
Tata Tiago EV – 315 km
The Tata Tiago is currently the most affordable fully-electric car in the Indian market, with prices starting from Rs 8.49 lakh, going up to Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The compact EV can be had with either a 19.2 kWh or a 24 kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 250 km and 315 km respectively, as per the MIDC cycle.

Tata offers the Tiago EV with a single Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor that produces 61 PS of max power and 110 Nm of peak torque on the mid range version, and 75 PS power and 114 Nm torque on the long range version. The company claims that a DC fast charger can juice up the Tiago EV’s battery from 0 – 80% in just 58 minutes.
