A hospital in South -West Ontario is sueing its five former officials, alleging that two of them were involved in a “fraud scheme”, including unfair purchases, while others knew about alleged fraud and failed to work.
The London Health Sciences Center says that the police started investigating the last financial practices of the hospital later last year, while it started its own Finance Audit of Dating back in 2013.
A statement by the claim filed in the court alleges that the former members of the hospital’s executive team were involved in frauds related to its purchase and construction contracts, including a contract with the pricing pricing to the companies owned to manage the facilities of the then Vice President of the hospital.
There is also a defendant nominated in the trial who is the head of London, ONTS, contracts the company and is described as the “close personal contact” of one of the executive team members.
Another statement of the claim has accused three other officials, including former CEOs and Chairman of the hospital, failing to inform the hospital’s auditors and the alleged cheating board.
No allegations have been tested in the court.
