How to Use Google Maps and Share Location on Mobile (Android/iOS)

Make sure the Google Maps app is installed on your mobile device.

Open the app and sign in with your registered Google account.

Tap the blue dot on the map, which shows your current location. This will bring up a menu at the bottom of the screen.

From the menu, tap “Share location” or “Share real-time location,” depending on your device.

Choose the period for which you want to share your live location (for example, 15 minutes, an hour, or until turned off).

Select the contacts with whom you want to share your current location. You can choose from your Google Contacts or enter an email address.
