Rayah Marshall started playing ball with his cousins and his peers in fifth grade. Two years later, in seventh grade, she caught the attention of Damien Williams, a strength and conditioning teacher at Bret Hart Prep Center School. Rayah then played for the California Storm Basketball Club in the Taurasi Division and West Coast Division I League. She won the 2018 EYBL Championship.

She began her career with the Lynwood High School junior girls’ team and prepared under the guidance of mentor Ellis Barfield. In her less season, she maintained her normal averages of 18.1 spots, 10.5 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 2.4 steals per game. She decided to play for the USC Trojans women’s team.
