Srinagar, 20 May 2025: Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha presided over the meeting of the Unified Headquarters (UHQ) at Raj Bhawan in Srinagar today, to review the current security scenario in the central region and the security system for the annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
At the meeting, Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Chief Secretary Mr. Atal Dullu, DGP Mr. Nalin Prabhat, Gok 15 Corps Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, GOC 16 Corps Lt Gen PK Mishra, Gok 9 Corps Lt House, Bharti, Bharti, Adgp Cid Shri Nitish Kumar, Lt. CEO SASB Dr Mandeep K. Bhandari, Senior Armed Forces officers, CAPFS, J&K Police, Intelligence Agencies and Civil Administration.
The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the armed forces, security agencies and J&K police for ‘Operation Sindoor’ and successfully neutralized the terrorists in the last few days.
The Lieutenant Governor directed all security agencies for exact, intelligence-intelligent operations to neutralize terrorists and eliminate support cells. He discussed major strategies for security and intelligence agencies to achieve the goal of ‘Terror-Free Jammu and Kashmir’.
He also reviewed the security preparations for the Shri Amarnathji Yatra, which is scheduled from July 3 to August 9, 2025 and directed the armed forces, CAPF, intelligence agencies and senior officers of Jammu -Police Police to take all necessary action to ensure safe and peaceful sacred pilgrimage.
