Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma took over as New Northern Army Chief

Officials said that Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma took over as the new Commander-in-Chief of the Northern Army Command at Udhampur on Wednesday.

An official told the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), he is replacing Lieutenant General MV such Ginder Kumar after his 15-month tenure in the office.

Lieutenant General Suchandra Kumar, who engaged with a spectacular service of more than 30 April on 30 April on 30 April, retired.

With a brilliant career extending for three decades, Lieutenant General Sharma is an infantry officer who has served in various operating environment. He was part of major operations such as Pawan, Meghdoot, Guard and Purkram.

Lieutenant General Sharma has made chief appointments including Director General Military Operations, Military Secretary Branch. He was also the Director General of Information War at the New Institutional Information Directorate at Army Headquarters in New Delhi- (KNO)
