LG Sinha visited Baltal, reviewed preparations ahead of Shri Amarnath ji Yatra

Srinagar, June 30: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the Baltal Base Camp today and reviewed the preparations for the annual pilgrimage to start on July 03.

In Baltal, the Lieutenant Governor interacted with CMP officials and reviewed the system of healthcare, electricity, communication, water supply, sanitation, food, housing, weather forecasting, traffic management, monitoring and maintenance of tracks, security grids and emergency services.

The Lieutenant Governor directed the officials to ensure the availability of all basic facilities with adequate manpower for the convenience of pilgrims.

During his visit, the Lieutenant Governor conducted an on-site inspection and detected the progress of Shri Amarnath ji Shrine Board disaster management and passenger foundation complex.

He also visited the hospital at the Baltal Base Camp, and inspected health facilities for pilgrims and inaugurated a training ward for medical staff.

“Important upgradation for overall travel arrangements. Shri Amarnath ji has implemented pilgrim-centered measures to ensure pilgrimage, all line departments and stakeholders, which are peaceful, safe and disturbing for devotees to ensure pilgrimage.”

Bhandari, Lieutenant Governor and Principal Secretary of CEO, Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board; Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; VK Burdy, IGP Kashmir; Dr. Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology; Jatin Kishore, Deputy Commissioner, Genderbal and SASB, police, security forces and senior officials of stake departments.
