LG Sinha participates in the memory program on Sant Kabir in Jammu, Jammu

Lieutenant Governo Manoj Sinha today participated in a memory program on Sant Kabir Das in Bishnah, Jammu.
In his address, the Lieutenant Governor paid homage to Sant Kabir and highlighted his intensive social influence.

“Kabir was an enlightened spiritual guru, who emphasized the idea of ​​co-existence of religions- Sarva Dharma Sambhwa- and dedicated his life to spread the message of unity, brotherhood and social harmony.

Kabir is a symbol of humanity. Kabir is a unique mystic of the tradition of saints. Kabir is a symbol of the purity of the heart. Kabir shows the total experience of unique pleasure and awareness. Kabir is the fragrance of our eternal values. Kabir is the confluence in which all ideologies and the path of worship are found and merged, ”said the Lieutenant Governor.

In his address, the Lieutenant Governor called upon the people to follow the teachings of Sant Kabir and show equal respect for all sections of society and all religions.

He noticed that the deep message of Saint Kabir and divine verses, showing various social issues and challenges, are equally relevant today.
“India has been home to seekers of various religions for centuries and this feeling of brotherhood, social and religious diversity has become our strength.

We should learn from the knowledge of Saint Kabir to preserve and nurture our ancient values, our ancient living civilization and our precious knowledge system. The Lieutenant Governor said that we should reach every citizen in Jammu and Kashmir and strengthen these values ​​in the new generation.

The Lieutenant Governor also shared the efforts of J&K administration under the guidance of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to provide equal opportunity and dignified lives to all citizens.

Responding to the demands, the Lieutenant Governor assured the appropriate measures to declare Sant Kabir Das Ji Jayati as a gazetted holiday. He reiterated that this is India’s commitment to ensure reservation in promotion.
He assured the necessary intervention in meeting the demand to set up a community hall for Sant Kabir society.

The Lieutenant Governor also spoke on the important role of the overall agricultural development program (HATP) to bring a new agricultural revolution in Jammu and Kashmir and focus on the lives of 13 lakh agricultural families, along with dedicated attention to marginal and small farmers.

In the last eleven years, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, it has marked the duration of unprecedented change and development for Indian agriculture, which is more profitable, durable and globally motivated to make competitive, he said more.

Dr. Rajiv Bhagat, Member of Legislative Assembly, Bishnah; Profu Ram Bhagat, Member of Legislative Assembly, Suketgarh; Prominent citizens, community leaders, members of various organizations, and people from all areas of life were present on the occasion.
