Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the Yati foundations of Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board at Panth Chowk in Srinagar today and dedicated new facilities to Shri Amarnath ji pilgrims. The journey foundation is built through donations and it will accommodate 1300 pilgrims.
“This is a symbol of our dedication and commitment to provide better facilities for the devotees of Yati Nivas Baba Barfani and make their pilgrimage more comfortable and safe.
Construction of the second phase of the journey foundation will start soon. It is a symbol of dedication to selfless service. The Lieutenant Governor said that we should pray to Baba Amarnath to bless our land with peace, happiness and prosperity.
The Lieutenant Governor thanked Mr. Mukesh Garg, Member, Mr. Amarnath ji Shrine Board, his team members and Mr. Amarnathji Shrine Board for their invaluable contribution in the construction of Yati Neus for pilgrims.
Talking to the media individuals, the Lieutenant Governor said that Shri Amarnath ji is making continuous efforts to improve the facilities for the Shrine Board pilgrims.
He said, “A wave of enthusiasm is widespread in Jammu and Kashmir. The journey is deeply inherent in the spirit of Jammu and Kashmir, attracts full support and cooperation from its people,” he said.
On this occasion, the Lieutenant Governor also unveiled a painting by Shri KK Gandhi on Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
The five floors of the passenger Nivas Building dedicated to the Yatris include a total of 75 rooms, including a bed capacity of 225 and 43 darm rooms.
